Founding Partners

Constantin Dornier

Constantin Dornier, founding partner and CIO of Dorn Investment Funds, brings extensive portfolio management experience from the Dornier Family Office.

‍

Since 2017, he has launched the family's internal public equity strategy, which was the basis for the Global Outliers fund.

‍

In 2019, he took over the leadership of the family office and restructured the family's investment efforts in various asset classes, from public markets to alternatives.

‍

Constantin’s years of discretionary management formed the know-how that allowed for the development of the Technology, used to assist the Global Outliers Fund in the decision making process.

‍

Previously with the Würth Group, he holds a bachelor's degree in political science from the University of Virginia.

Dr Haochun Ma

Dr Haochun Ma, founding partner and CTO of Dorn Investment Funds, combines over 10 years of experience as a quantitative analyst in asset management, management consultant, software engineer and AI researcher at the intersection of physics and finance.

‍

His expertise focuses on the development of automated algorithms for alpha signal generation, risk management strategies and portfolio optimization.

‍

Previously, he worked in the quant department at Allianz Global Investors and gained research experience at the German Aerospace Center, Berkeley and the Ludwig-Maximilian University, Munich.

‍

He holds bachelor’s degrees in physics and business administration, an honors degree in Technology management, and a master’s degree and PhD in physics.

Alexandra Dornier

Alexandra Dornier, founding partner of Dorn Investment Fonds, is responsible for managing the fund's communications. She previously worked at Stylight, a fashion startup, where she became interested in entrepreneurship and how companies can succeed.

‍

This expertise, combined with her academic background in statistics, led her to join the Family Offices research team in 2020, where she helped identify promising niche companies for the family's public equity and alternatives strategy.

‍

She is a trained psychologist and volunteers at Krisenchat, providing real-time psychological support and counselling via chat to children, teenagers and young adults experiencing crisis or mental health issues.

‍

She holds a M.Sc. in Psychology from the University of Ulm.

Martine Dornier-Tiefenthaler supports the fund as an experienced lawyer. She ensures that the investment philosophy is adhered to.

Dr. Christoph Kowitz

Dr. Christoph Kowitz, CEO of the US-based Wacker Chemical Corporation, understands first-hand what makes a good company and supports our fund in identifying outlier companies.

Prof. Dr. Thomas Stephan

Prof. Dr. Thomas Stephan, former Managing Director at Allianz Global Investors and Honorary Professor at Goethe University Frankfurt am Main, supports our fund with his decades of expertise in the financial industry.

PD Dr. Christoph Räth

PD Dr. Christoph Räth, team leader at the AI Institute of the German Aerospace Center (DLR) and private lecturer at the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München (LMU), supports our fund in the transfer of knowledge and application of the latest methods of artificial intelligence to financial market data.
